Olivia Taylor Dudley

I love the show Magicians from SyFy. The beauty of Olivia Taylor Dudley makes the experience of watching even better.

SHARKNADO

Normally I don't watch bad syfy channel movies but Sharknado is the exception to the rule. Each movie becomes more outlandish than the last with cheesy or just bad cameos. Yet when I watch this movie I can't help but cheer especially at the end. I love how over the top the story is and I find myself rooting for the hero and all the crazy ways he finds to kill floating sharks. This movie is a guilty pleasure of many people. Now it is an yearly event on syfy. When I first heard of it I would have never imagined that. The channel has so many bad movies with combinations like avalanche sharks or lava spiders. Somehow Sharknado rose above the rest and I can't say I won't be watching the next part.

This scene sums up the show to me in all it's amazing over the top glory.

Lost Girl

I was going to write this sooner but I had a computer issue. Then I honestly forgot to do it which is crazy because I loved this show. Lost Girl concluded recently. Did I mention I loved this show so I was not happy about this.
Lost Girl is about a succubus. Yes a succubus. She takes life force energy from people when having sex. It helps her heal among other things. At first she doesn't know what she is, but through a series of events she learns she is a Faye. Faye are an ancient secret race, made up of creatures from every cultures lore. Individuals can live for centuries. As Faye you have to align with the Light Faye or the Dark Faye. However our heroine Bo does not align becoming the unaligned succubus (as many call her). So the story begins.
The show can be cheesy at times but I still loved it. If you like fantasy, magic, and creature lore you may love this show too. So give it a try.
P.S. Anna Silk has a charisma I could not stop watching, not to mention she is absolutely hot.

The Magicians

Syfy has a new show called The Magicians. I was never into Harry Potter. The story is interesting but it seemed like it was made for children. The Magicians takes the same premise of a school for wizards but places it in college. The stories are more adult, and yes this means there is a lot of sex, sex had, mentioned and innuendos. The show takes a dark turn towards the last few episodes which I loved (Except for one goddess scene. You'll know what I mean when you see it.). If you are into fantasy, magic stories you should give the Magicians a try.

CONTINUUM

Continuum is one of my favorite shows and one of the best on TV. Continuum is a Canadian show, it also airs on the Syfy channel in America. This show is amazing. It has many stories, plots and ideas relevant to many social, political and even cultural events happening in the world today.

Kiera Cameron (played by Rachel Nichols) is a CPS (City protection services) protector in the year 2077. She is very good at her job. Her latest case brings her against a terrorist group. The worst in her time.

Liber8 is a terrorist organization. When Kiera comes to apprehend them. They bomb the Corporate Congress. One has to understand that in 2077 corporations run the world literally. The heads of the most powerful corporation are part of the Corporate Congress.

Liber8 are found guilty for their crimes. At their execution instead of their deaths they are sent back in time to the year 2012. This was not planned by the corporations.

In 2012 they recruit more members using the web, flyers and action as calls to arm. Liber8 idea is simple, they believe they can bring freedom from the rule of the Corporate Congress if they change the past. They will use killing, kidnapping, bombing, whatever it takes to ensure a new future.

Liber8 plan may have worked but unknown to them CPS Protector Kiera Cameron was also sent back with them.

When Kiera is sent back she instantly links up with Alec Sadler. In the future he runs one of the most powerful corporations in the world SadTech. But in 2012 he is only a teenager.
Unlike Liber8, Kiera wants the future to be the same as she left it so she can return to her family, to her son.
Here is the reasons I love this show. It is difficult to say who is the "good guy". The show follows Kiera but in truth I can't say she is the hero of the story. You see Liber8 uses tactic that are horrible but their cause is just. They are fighting to end slavery and corporate domination. The future is bright for those who do as they are told but for the poor and individuals it can be a horrible place. Kiera is CPS which are police in the future but CPS works for the corporations. To her the future is not so horrible or at least she lives in denial about it. She may even agree with Liber8 if they weren't placing the people she cares for in danger. As far as Kiera is concerned she will do anything to make certain the future stays the same even if that means condemning everyone to a future with no freedom.

Perhaps when she returns she would fight for that freedom but for now she will not allow Liber8 to change her future, her home.

An ongoing theme in this show is "who will own the future". Who gets to decide what the future will be? What right does any of them have to decide the fates of others?

Some much more is going on in the story I can't write it all, plus it would be spoilers. If you are not watching this show you should be.

Continuum has some cool technology.
Travis Verta played by Roger Cross is a super soldier of the future. He is the militant, aggressive force of Liber8.

The cast of Continuum.

I WANT ERICA CERRA

Erica Cerra played Jo Lupo on Syfy's Eureka. I love the episode that feature her more. Side note, they had this strange ongoing gag in the show that the character she played house or home would always be destroyed in some form or fashion.
