Flash tv show

I can't believe I haven't written this sooner. If you read my post on the Arrow tv show then you know I love that show. Yes, I know season three and four were not as strong as season one and two. But no, I don't think they were horrible, nor do I do as many viewers do and let "Olicity" overshadow every other story happening. From Arrow sprang the Flash. The Flash is not a spin-off but it is in the same "Universe". What this means is the shows have crossovers, characters will be on each other's programs and they will be mentioned and help the other character many times off-screen.
The Flash is a good show. It is different from Arrow in many ways. First, the Flash has superpowers. He is a speedster, this means he can move at insanely fast speeds. He can run so fast he can literally run forward or backward in time. Something he learns only creates many, many, many problems. The show is more lighthearted than Arrow. For one the hero has never been a killer. He doesn't believe in doing such things. He also has more fun in fighting crime and the people of Central City where he lives actually love having him around.
If you like the idea of watching a superhero show that is fun, and adventurous you will like the Flash. You don't have to watch Arrow to understand the Flash except when they do crossover episode but they only do these once a year.

HIGHLANDER the SERIES

Highlander the series is a show that has had a great deal of an effect on my personality. I LOVED THIS SHOW. Absolutely loved this show. I think I've seen most of the episodes five to ten times. This show is one of my top ten favorite shows of all time. I was watching the series again a couple years back and still found episodes I had not seen. Which was a great. This is the show that made me really love the Highlander series. The movies were good but nothing close to how in-depth the show could be. If they make another Highlander series, maybe on Netflix. I'm all in.
This show helped me to understand what honor really is. One of the things about Duncan Mcleod that I liked was he had all these years of experience, that he actually learned from. Duncan had a code of justice that he lived by but many times you found yourself, as the audience member, seeing both side and not sure if Duncan justice was always the right way or the more righteous.
I have gotten ahead of myself. For those that don't know this series or the Highlander franchise, the story goes like this. There are Immortals among us. They can only be killed if you cut there heads off releasing "the Quickening". When an immortal is killed the closet to them, usually their killer absorbs their quickening gaining all their power. In the end, "there can be only one. May it be Duncan Mcleod the Highlander". When the show begins Duncan is four hundred years old. You soon learn there are immortals that are far older.
If you like history, sword fighting, some philosophy, and interesting characters give this show a try. Writing this has made me want to watch a few episodes again.

MARTIAL ARTS - KENJUTSU

Kenjutsu is a term to cover all Japanese forms of swordsmanship, Kendo and Iaido. Kenjutsu means "the method or technique of the sword" .

I have wanted to know how to do proper swordsmanship since I can remember. When I found out that in Japan they do swordsmanship in school I think I actually felt jealousy. Sometimes I believe I was born in the wrong time period because to me swordsmanship had far more honor than gunmanship. I don't ascribe to silly notions of why tho. I believe it is more honorable simply because it takes far more training and skill to use. When you fought your enemy it had to be face to face pitting once ability against the other.

Game of Thrones vs Lord of the Rings

RackaRacka make good amatuar stunt work. This is just fun. I don't place all the videos I come across on my blog but if I find myself watching more than one especially from the same creators then I have to place them up, eventually.

Burn Notice

Burn Notice was a show on the USA Network for five years. It was one of my favorite shows when it was on.

The show follows the main character, Micheal Westen after he loses his position as a C.I.A (Central Intelligence Agency) agent. He loses his aliases and his true name is put out there for all his enemies to learn. This is call being burned or a burn notice. He is dumped unconscious in Miami and told not to leave the city.

He awakens to find his ex-girlfriend Fiona Glennane, a former IRA operative. From this point on he is on a mission to find out who burned him and she reluctantly assists him.

He reconnects with his estranged mother. And allies with Sam Axe played by Bruce Campbell, who informs on him to the F.B.I (Federal Bureau of Investigations). And later on with Jesse Porter another burnt agent.

One of the things that made this show unique was it would explain how to make or do different tasks. It was as if it was a D.I.Y. (do it yourself) spy training show. I would watch thinking if there were thieves out there taking notes from this show on how to properly make and use explosives or commit crimes.
The show is/was just fun with interesting and lovable characters. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a fun spy show.

I would love if they made a Burn Notice Television movie or three, soon. No idea if this is even talked about but it should be.

SHARKNADO

Normally I don't watch bad syfy channel movies but Sharknado is the exception to the rule. Each movie becomes more outlandish than the last with cheesy or just bad cameos. Yet when I watch this movie I can't help but cheer especially at the end. I love how over the top the story is and I find myself rooting for the hero and all the crazy ways he finds to kill floating sharks. This movie is a guilty pleasure of many people. Now it is an yearly event on syfy. When I first heard of it I would have never imagined that. The channel has so many bad movies with combinations like avalanche sharks or lava spiders. Somehow Sharknado rose above the rest and I can't say I won't be watching the next part.

This scene sums up the show to me in all it's amazing over the top glory.

SWORD ART ONLINE

I can't believe I haven't wrote a post on Sword Art Online before. I've been slacking at the writing part of this blog. Not that I've been writing much at all.

Anyways, Sword Art Online is a damn good anime and story. It takes place in the near future. In this future virtual reality is basically a norm for gaming. The newest system is called NervGear. NervGear allows the user to have a full immersive gameplay experience. On day one gamers go into the game Sword Art Online it is a day of celebration for gamers. The jubilation is short lived at sundown when many gamers realize they can't leave the game. The story is about those trap in this Massive Multiple Player Online Game fighting to survive by the rules of the game on the inside. While they worry what is happening to their bodies in the "real" world".

If you are a gamer or not you will enjoy this story. Check out the first two episode.

IRIS TWO

IRIS 2, yes IRIS is back. I watch this a couple months ago. It was as good as IRIS one and ATHENA:GODDESS OF WAR. I watched this on Hulu but you can also watch it on Drama Fever.
In the comments some people were complaining about certain events and action that took place in the show. Even saying that such things didn't happen in IRIS one. I don't know what they were watching. To me this took many of the same story plots and elements and rearrange them from IRIS one. It also added more or expanding on ideas that were only a small part of IRIS one.
I realize when I write about these stories it's a bit vague but I don't want to put anything that would be a spoiler. People that let shows be "spoiled" for them can get very angry about the slightest thing. Also I rather you watch the awesomeness that is IRIS 2 yourself.
What I can tell you is that the main cast of IRIS is not in the show. In fact the story takes place three years after the events of IRIS. The NSS or the National Security Service has lost some of its power and is no longer a secret to the public anymore. What you can expect is the same as before, IRIS and it's operative always seem to be more skilled and ahead of the heroes. Again some complain about this in the comments. But if you think about it, it makes sense.
IRIS is created by powerful businessmen and politicians. They create these teams based on what they know about the enforcement agencies they may face. Think about it if you were a group with money and the capabilities of training or acquiring the best operatives to go against your enemy, and you knew inside information on your enemy. You would be able to have a team that would be able to out play your enemy most of the time. It's one of the reason I like this series because the bad guys are so good because they always have far more information about the good guys than the good guys have about them.
The hero of the story Jung Yoo-gun played by Jang Hyuk.

The NSS boss lady Choi Min played the sexy Oh Yeon SOO.

Ray played by David Lee McInnis played a good bad guy but I don't think he actually knows Korean or at least is good at speaking it. Then again that may have been a play to make the audience know how "American" he is.
The North Korean agents in IRIS two take their actions to whole different level.

Im Soo Hyang

Lee Da Hae
I like the pictures of these two. ;)

ATHENA GODDESS OF WAR

Athena Goddess of War, I so love this name. Ok I first need to speak of a mistake I've made. I thought I wrote this article months ago. Looking at my blog I realized I had not. So here we go.
Some time ago I wrote about the epic IRIS a Korean Drama, an action packed, badass show. Athena is the spin off of IRIS.

Basically IRIS was a military industrial complex protecting itself and it's interest. Athena is a group that is protecting an energy industrial complex. The show is about South Korea creating a new form of energy they want to keep secret until it is ready. Of course Athena knows about it but want to first know how far it has come, then later want to destroy it. They want to keep their control over the world's energy.

The show is very good. I honestly have to say I wasn't as engrossed in it as I was IRIS but don't take that to mean I didn't love this show. I did. The production value is amazing. The acting is very good. Many of the scenes are amazing. The thing about IRIS I was really into was the hero story and how much of a bad ass I found him to be. In Athena I found myself more interested in the lead bad guy (Don't remember his name because it been sometime). In many shows when the bad guy is ahead of the hero four or five steps you don't really get why but here you know why. He knows the hero and his team inside and out. Trust me watch this show and you'll see how, it's insane.

Another thing if you liked IRIS they have a bit of a set up of IRIS two in ATHENA, with the North Korean characters.
I watched this show on Hulu. I believe it is still active on there. Go watch it if you like drama, action, espionage, love stories, and want to be entertained. Have to say I can't wait for part two and IRIS two.

Oh and I love the way they dress in this show, so slick, chic and professional.

(Such a great bad guy)
