When I was younger I wanted to learn a number of Martial Arts forms. So I decided to create pages about the styles I've always had interest in. Capoeira is a Brazilian-African Martial arts. It was developed from African fighting styles in Brazil. It looks like dance partly because it was a way to hide the form from slave owners. Another way the style is different from others is the use of beat to synchronize their movement when sparring. In Capoeira one doesn't hit the other person when they spar. From what I understand it's about having more control not to strike and flowing well with your opponent.
